 बेनामी  संपत्ति कानून का उल्लंघन करने पर होगी सात वर्ष की सजा। आयकर विभाग ने चेतावनी की जारी अधिनियम    के साथ साथ सात वर्ष की सजा का दोहरा प्रावधान होगा।
 ● पूर्व अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा  को 2017 प्रतिष्ठित केनेडी पुरुस्कार के लिये नामित किया गया है।
● केंद्र सरकार द्वारा चिकित्सा शिक्षा हेतु 4,000 पीजी मेडिकल सीटें बढ़ाने की मंजूरी प्रदान की गई है। केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण मंत्री जे पी नड्डा के अनुसार अब तक देश में पीजी मेडिकल की कुल 4,143 सीटें जोड़ी गई हैं और मार्च, 2017 के दौरान 1000 से अधिक और सीटे जोड़ी जाने की तैयारी पूर्ण कर ली गई है।
● विश्व वन्यजीव दिवस 3 मार्च को मनाया गया। विश्व वन्यजीव दिवस का आयोजन  वन्यजीवों के संरक्षण की दिशा में जागरूकता के लक्ष्य  को दर्शाता है।

देशी तकनीक से निर्मित सुपरसोनिक इंटरसेप्टर मिसाइल का सफल परीक्षण चांदीपुर से किया गया।
 भारत सरकार स्वच्छ भारत अभियान के अंतर्गत 1 मार्च से 8 मार्च तक स्वच्छ शक्ति सप्ताह मनायेगी।
 SBI ने निर्धारित की फ्री ट्रांजेक्शन की सीमा। एसबीआई बैंक ने फ्री ट्रांजेक्शन की सीमा 3 कैश तक निर्धारित की है। इसके बाद 50 रू प्रति ट्रांजेक्शन देना होगा।
आईडीबीआई बैंक को मिला MSME एक्सीलेंस अवार्ड। फंडिग में विशेष योगदान हेतु IDBI को यह सम्मान दिया गया है।
 कबीर बेदी साइटसेवर्स के ब्रांड एंबेसडर नियुक्त किये गये।

1. पाकिस्तान में बसंत उत्सव पर पूरी तरह पाबंदी

पाकिस्तान के पंजाब प्रांत के मुख्यमंत्री शहबाज शरीफ ने बसंत उत्सव पर पूरी तरह पाबंदी लगा दी है। बसंत के मौसम का स्वागत करने के लिए सभी आस्थाओं वाले पंजाबी बसंत पर्व मनाते हैं।

शहबाज शरीफ ने स्पष्ट करते हुए कहा कि किसी को लोगों की जिंदगियों के साथ खिलवाड़ नहीं करने दिया जाएगा।

2. परमाणु आतंकवाद पर तीन दिन का वैश्विक सम्‍मेलन नई दिल्‍ली में शुरु

परमाणु आतंकवाद से निपटने के वैश्विक प्रयासों के तहत क्रियान्‍वयन और आकलन समूह की बैठक नई दिल्‍ली में शुरू हो गई है।

विभिन्‍न भागीदार देशों के करीब डेढ़ सौ प्रतिनिधि और अंतर्राष्‍ट्रीय संगठन तीन दिन की इस बैठक में हिस्‍सा ले रहे हैं।

3. प्रधानमंत्री ग्रामीण डिजिटल साक्षरता अभियान को कैबिनेट की मंजूरी

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में हुई केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल की बैठक में प्रधानमंत्री ग्रामीण डिजिटल साक्षरता अभियान (पीएमजीडीआईएसएचए) को मंजूरी दी गई जिसके तहत 6 करोड़ ग्रामीण परिवारों को डिजिटल रूप से साक्षर बनाया जाएगा।

2,351.38 करोड़ रुपये के अभियान के जरिये मार्च, 2019 तक ग्रामीण भारत को डिजिटल साक्षर बनाया जाएगा।

यह वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली द्वारा 2017-18 के बजट में की गई घोषणा के अनुरूप है।

पीएमजीडीआईएसएचए दुनिया के सबसे बड़े डिजिटल साक्षरता कार्यक्रमों में से होगा।

योजना के तहत वित्त वर्ष 2016-17 में 25 लाख लोगों को प्रशिक्षित किया जाएगा। 2017-18 में 275 लाख और 2018-19 में 300 लाख लोगों को प्रशिक्षण दिया जाएगा।

सभी क्षेत्रों के लोगों को इस योजना का लाभ मिल सके यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए ढाई लाख ग्राम पंचायतों में प्रत्येक में औसतन 200 से 300 उम्मीदवारों का पंजीकरण किया जाएगा।

4. आतंकवाद का मुकाबला करने पर 17वीं अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संगोष्ठी आयोजित

सूचना एवं प्रसारण राज्य मंत्री कर्नल राज्यवर्धन सिंह राठौर ने आज हरियाणा के मानेसर में आतंकवाद का मुकाबला करने पर आयोजित की गई 17वीं अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संगोष्ठी का उद्घाटन किया।

इस संगोष्‍ठी का आयोजन राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा गार्ड द्वारा किया गया।

इस अवसर पर कर्नल राज्यवर्धन सिंह राठौर ने कहा कि आतंकवाद एक वैश्विक खतरा है और आतंकवाद के नापाक निशान किसी एक देश की सीमा तक ही सीमित नहीं हैं।

5. खनन संचालनों के लिए पोर्टल एवं मोबाइल एप्लीकेशन आरंभ

खनन क्षेत्र में व्‍यवसाय करने की सुगमता के एक हिस्‍से के रूप में पारदर्शिता और जबावदेही सुनिश्चित करने के उद्देश्‍य से केंद्रीय बिजली, कोयला, नवीन तथा नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा एवं खनन राज्‍य मंत्री (स्‍वतंत्र प्रभार) श्री पीयूष गोयल 10 फरवरी, 2017 को ताम्र (पारदर्शिता, बोली लगाने की निगरानी एवं संसाधन संवर्द्धन) पोर्टल एवं मोबाइल ऐप्‍लीकेशन आरंभ करेंगे।

12 खनिज समृद्ध राज्‍यों के खनन मंत्री एवं अधिकारी भी वीडियो क्रांफ्रेंसिंग के जरिये इससे जुड़ेंगे।

ताम्र सभी हितधारकों के लिए वैधानिक एवं अन्‍य मंजूरियों के लिए समय सीमा के संक्षिप्‍तीकरण के लिए एक अंत:पारस्‍परिक प्‍लेटफॉर्म है जोकि उत्‍पादन आरंभ करने के लिए निर्माण पूर्व अवधि को न्‍यूनतम बनाने में मदद करेगा।

6. गुजरात देश में PDS को नकदी रहित व्‍यवस्‍था पर लाने वाला पहला राज्‍य

केन्‍द्रीय उपभोक्ता मामले, खाद्य एवं सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्री राम विलास पासवान ने गुजरात राज्‍य सरकार को देश में सार्वजनिक वितरण प्रणाली (PDS) को नकदी रहित व्‍यवस्‍था पर लाने वाला पहला राज्‍य बनने पर बधाई दी।

उन्‍होंने इस बात पर भी प्रसन्‍नता व्‍यक्त की कि 31 मार्च, 2017 के निर्धारित लक्ष्‍य से बहुत पहले ही गुजरात ने अपने 17250 राशन की दुकानों पर आधार के माध्‍यम से भुगतान की व्‍यवस्‍था का संचालन प्रारम्‍भ कर दिया है।

राष्‍ट्रीय खाद्य सुरक्षा योजना के अंतर्गत मिलने वाला सस्‍ता राशन पाने के लिए अब लाभार्थियों को केवल आधार कार्ड का प्रयोग करना है।

इससे लाभार्थी की पहचान  होगी, दुकान स्‍तर पर होने वाला भ्रष्‍टाचार तथा अनाज की चोरी भी रुक सकेगी।

7. डलहौजी रोड बनी दाराशिकोह रोड़  

नई दिल्ली नगर निगम परिषद ने डलहौजी रोड का नाम बदल दिया। अब इस रोड का नाम शाहजहां के बेटे दारा शिकोह के नाम पर कर दिया गया है।

नई दिल्ली क्षेत्र की सांसद मीनाक्षी लेखी ने कहा कि परिषद ने हिंदुओं और मुसलमानों को साथ लाने के लिए दारा शिकोह के सम्मान में इस सड़क के फिर से नामकरण का फैसला किया है।

8. भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक की छठी द्विमासिक मौद्रिक नीति की मुख्य विशेषताएं

भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक द्वारा जारी छठी द्विमासिक मौद्रिक नीति के मुख्य आकर्षण निम्न हैं:

पॉलिसी रेपो दर 6.25% पर अपरिवर्तित।

रिवर्स रेपो दर 5.75%

नकद आरक्षित अनुपात 4%

सांविधिक तरलता अनुपात 20.50%

सीमांत स्थायी सुविधा (एमएसएफ) दर 6.75%

बैंक दर 6.75% 

FY17 के लिए आर्थिक विकास दर को कम करके 6.9% किया

ग्रोथ में 2017-18 में तेजी आने की उम्मीद है।

Q4 में खुदरा मुद्रास्फीति 5% से नीचे रहने की संभावना

मुद्रास्फीति की दर 2017-18 की पहली छमाही में 4 से 4.5% और दूसरी छमाही में 4.5-5% की सीमा में।

आरबीआई नीतिगत रुख का 'उदार' से 'तटस्थ' में परिवर्तन

खाद्य और ईंधन को छोड़कर, मुद्रास्फीति सितंबर के बाद से 4.9% पर स्थिर है।

मौद्रिक नीति समिति की अगली बैठक 5-6 अप्रैल को।

9. बैंक ऑफ अमेरिका ने खोला बिना कर्मचारियों वाला बैंक

बैंक ऑफ अमेरिका कॉर्प ने पिछले एक महीने में तीन पूरी तरह से ऑटोमैटिक ब्रांच खोले हैं। इन ब्रांचों में ग्राहक एटीएम का इस्तेमाल कर सकेंगे साथ ही दूसरे ब्रांचों के कर्मचारियों से विडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस के जरिए बात कर सकेंगे।

हाल के वर्षों में अमेरीकी बैंक्स अपने खर्चों में कटौते करने के लिए ब्रांच की संख्या घटा रहे हैं।

10. फेडरल बैंक व कमोडिटी ऑनलाइन में कृषि ऋण के लिये समझौता

फेडरल बैंक लिमिटेड ने देश भर में गोदाम रसीदों और सहायक प्रबंधन सेवाओं के बदले ऋण के वितरण के लिए अग्रणी ऑनलाइन डेटा और जानकारी पोर्टल कमोडिटी ऑनलाइन के साथ भागीदारी की है।

कमोडिटी ऑनलाइन अपने पोर्टल www.commodityonline.com के माध्यम से एक कृषि जिंस वित्तपोषण मंच शुरु करेगा जहां किसान और व्यापारी ऑनलाइन जिंस बाजार और गोदामों पर नज़र रखने और जल्दी से अपनी वस्तुओं के लिए वित्त पोषण प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।

11. इफको व बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा को-ब्रांडेड डेबिट कार्ड जारी करेंगे

फर्टिलाइजर प्रमुख इफको ने ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में बिना नकद लेनदेन को बढ़ावा देने की रणनीति के तहत किसानों के लिए को-ब्रांडेड डेबिट कार्ड लांच करने के लिए बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा के साथ करार किया है।

इफको और बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा ने इस संबंध में एक समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर किए।

समझौते पर योगेंद्र कुमार, महाप्रबंधक (विपणन), इफको और जीबी पांडा, महाप्रबंधक (सरकार संबन्ध), बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा ने हस्ताक्षर किए।

12. आईसीआईसीआई सिक्योरिटीज ने डेनमार्क के Saxo बैंक के साथ साझेदारी की

सबसे बड़ी खुदरा ब्रोकरेज आईसीआईसीआई सिक्योरिटीज ने घरेलू निवेशकों के इक्विटी और ऋण खंडों सहित विदेशी बाजारों में प्रवेश को सक्षम करने हेतु डेनमार्क आधारित Saxo बैंक के साथ एक सामरिक भागीदारी की है।

साझेदारी आईसीआईसीआई सिक्योरिटीज के 4 लाख ग्राहकों को घरेलू बाजार के बाहर अपने निवेश में विविधता लाने और 24 देशों में 36 शेयर बाजारों पर मल्टी-एसेट निवेश के अवसरों का उपयोग करने में सक्षम बनायेगी।

13. फरमाजो बने सोमालिया के नए राष्ट्रपति

सोमालिया के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री ने सोमालिया के नए राष्ट्रपति के चुनाव में जीत हासिल कर ली है।

निवर्तमान राष्ट्रपति हसन शेख महमूद को दो चरण के चुनाव में हार का सामना करना पड़ा। चुनाव परिणाम की घोषणा के कुछ देर बाद ही मोहम्मद अब्दुल्लाही फरमाजो को राष्ट्रपति के पद के रूप में शपथ दिलाई गई।

14. हैदराबाद के सर्जन रघुराम को बीसी रॉय पुरस्कार

डॉ. पी. रघुराम को 2016 के प्रतिष्ठित डॉ. बीसी रॉय पुरस्कार के लिए चुना गया है। मूलरूप से हैदराबाद के रहने वाले डॉ. रघुराम को सामाजिक चिकित्सा राहत क्षेत्र में उत्कृष्ट सेवाओं के लिए यह पुरस्कार दिया जाएगा।

पुरस्कार की घोषणा मेडिकल काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया की अध्यक्ष डॉ. जयश्री मेहता द्वारा डॉ. रघुराम को संबोधित पत्र में की गई।डॉ. रघुराम केआइएमएस-उषालक्ष्मी सेंटर फॉर ब्रेस्ट डिसीज के निदेशक और उषालक्ष्मी ब्रेस्ट कैंसर फाउंडेशन के सीईओ भी हैं।

डॉ. बीसी रॉय पुरस्कार भारत में चिकित्सकों को दिया जाने वाला सर्वोच्च सम्मान है। केआइएमएस-उषालक्ष्मी ने बताया कि एक जुलाई को चिकित्सक दिवस के मौके पर राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी यह पुरस्कार देंगे।

15. राष्ट्रीय बैडमिंटन चैम्पियनशिप: सौरभ, रितुपर्णा ने खिताब जीते

81 वीं सीनियर बैडमिंटन राष्ट्रीय चैम्पियनशिप हाल ही में पटना में आयोजित की गई। परिणाम इस प्रकार हैं:

केन्द्रीय गृहमंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने गृह मंत्रालय में वरिष्ठ सुरक्षा सलाहकार के विजय कुमार की पुस्तक 'वीरप्पन चेजिंग दी ब्रिगैंड' का विमोचन किया।

President opens Rashtrapati Bhavan's annual 'Udyanotsav' 

• President Pranab Mukherjee opened the annual 'Udyanotsav' of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
• The highlights of this year's 'Udyanotsav' include two new varieties of roses named after the President Pranab Mukherjee and his late wife Suvra Mukherjee; Vertical Gardens and Air Purifying Plants which absorb toxins from polluted air.
• The two varieties of roses named 'President Pranab' and 'Suvra Mukherjee' were developed by Pranabir Kumar Maity and Ashok Kumar Maity of Pushpanjali Rose Nursery at Jakpur, West Bengal. 
• The Indian Rose Federation issued a certificate after trials in January 2017 and the roses were subsequently planted in the Mughal Gardens.
• About 14,000 Tulip bulbs in seven different colors such as red, orange, pink, and purple have been planted in the Mughal Gardens. Several beds of roses, including both new and heritage varieties are the main attraction of the Long garden. Flower Carpets in various designs will be on display in the Central Lawns of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
• The dominant color scheme of this year's ornamental flowers is various shades of yellow, red and orange.
•  A small cactus corner, as in previous years, forms part of the display. Exhibition Stalls will be set up near the Spiritual Garden displaying produce of fresh vegetables and fruits grown in the President's Estate Organic Farm. 
• The Spiritual Garden will also showcase a Lotus pond with a cascading waterfall.

Govt forms panel to improve India’s Haj policy

• The Centre has formed a six-member committee to give a report on ways to improve India’s Haj policy and also look into issue of subsidy to the pilgrimage in light of 2012 Supreme Court order on gradually reducing and abolishing it by 2022.
• Former Consul General of India (CGI), Jeddah, Afzal Amanullah has been appointed as convener of the high-level panel, Union minister of state for minority affairs (Independent charge) Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told reporters in the Capital
• The panel will examine implications of various directions of the apex court with regard to the existing Haj policy, and suitable amendments in it.
• The committee will also review the effectiveness of Haj Committee of India’s management of pilgrims’ accommodation and air travel.
• It will also assess the aspects of transparency, consumer satisfaction and disclosure requirements for private tour operators to protect interest of the pilgrims with a view to make the policy of greater assistance to the pilgrims

Sanjeev Sanyal appointed principal economic adviser in Finance Ministry

• Government appointed noted economist Sanjeev Sanyal as Principal Economic Adviser in the Ministry of Finance.
• The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Sanjeev Sanyal, former Global Strategist and Managing Director, Deutsche Bank, to the post of Principal Economic Adviser in the Department of Economic Affairs," an official statement said.
• He has been appointed in a pay scale of Rs 67,000-79,000 for a period of three years.
• In 2007, Sanyal was awarded the Eisenhower Fellowship for his work on urban issues and was also honoured by the Singapore government at the World Cities Summit 2014.
• Sanyal has authored several books including 'Land of the Seven Rivers: A Brief History of India's Geography', 'The Indian Renaissance: India's Rise After a Thousand Year's of Decline' and 'The Incredible History of India's Geography'.

Bihar introduces third gender category in school exams

• For the first time since the Supreme Court recognised transgender people as a third gender in 2014, as many as 18 students in Bihar have been allowed to appear for the Board exams conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) under the third-gender category. 
• The exams for Class 12 begin on February 14 and for Class 10 from March 1.
• According to board officials, 10 third-gender students will be taking the Class 12 exams and eight would be writing the Class 10 exams. 
• So far, the BSEB did not allow students to take Board exams under the ‘third gender’ category because the examination form specified only two categories, male and female.
• Monika Das had to appear in the Board examination under the male category with the name of Gopal Kumar. 
• She is a law graduate from Patna University and proudly claims to be the first third gender banker of the country.

Iran bars US wrestlers from Freestyle World Cup event

• Iran banned US wrestlers from participating in the Freestyle World Cup competition this month in response to President Donald Trump’s executive order forbidding visas for Iranians
• The decision marks the first action taken by Iran in response to Trump’s executive order banning visas for seven Muslim countries. 
• Earlier this week, Iran said it would take retaliatory action.

• TAMO, a start up established under the Tata Motors umbrella, will act as an incubating centre of innovation for developing new technologies, business models and partnerships to define future mobility solutions, according to top officials of Tata Motors.
• TAMO will help us to co–design India’s automotive footprint by taking new technologies and mobility concepts as a new ecosystem to market
• TAMO will act as an open platform to network with global start-ups and leading technology companies to get access to trends, innovations and solutions for the design of exciting future products and services.
• As the automotive environment changes rapidly with disruptive technologies and customer behaviour, TAMO will transform the experience of interfacing and interacting with customers and the wider community.
• The new entity will provide a digital eco-system which will be leveraged by Tata Motors to support the mainstream business in the future. TAMO will have a small team of specialists who can imagine the future and they will be supported by personnel from Tata Motors to develop new passenger vehicles.
• The first product developed by TAMO will be showcased at the upcoming 87th Geneva International Motor Show to be held in March.

IDFC MD Vikram Limaye the new CEO, MD of NSE

• Leading stock exchange National Stock Exchange selected IDFC chief Vikram Limaye as its new CEO and Managing Director, two months after the sudden exit of Chitra Ramkrishna from the top post.
• NSE's board approved Limaye's name for the top position but a formal announcement would be made later as some formalities need to be completed from his side.
• The appointment would also need capital market regulator Sebi' approval.
• Incidentally, he was recently named in a four-member panel appointed by the Supreme Court for administering cricket body Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
• Currently the Managing Director & CEO of IDFC, Limaye started his professional career with Arthur Andersen in Mumbai in 1987 and has also worked with Ernst & Young and Citibank.
• He has worked at Wall Street for eight years with Credit Suisse First Boston before returning to Mumbai in 2004.
• Limaye has contributed to various committees of government and industry associations on a range of topics surrounding infrastructure, economic policy, markets and trade.
• The appointment comes at a time when the exchange is preparing to launch its IPO estimated to be worth over Rs 10,000 crore. Besides, the bourse is facing regulatory issues over alleged preferential access to a few for co-location and algo trade facilities.

Top Indian diplomat re-appointed to UN Joint Inspection Unit

• Achamkulangare Gopinathan, a top Indian diplomat, has been re-appointed by the UN General Assembly to the Joint Inspection Unit, the only independent external oversight body of the UN system.
• Gopinathan, along with Sukai Prom-Jackson of Gambia, Jean Wesley Cazeau of Haiti and Nikolay Lozinskiy of Russia were appointed members of the Joint Inspection Unit for a five-year term beginning January 1, 2018.
• The Joint Inspection Unit is the only independent external oversight body of the United Nations system mandated to conduct evaluations, inspections and investigations system-wide.
